In my childhood, I was a sports person who enjoyed playing hockey, basketball, track and field events, touch football, softball and swimming. I also enjoyed playing musical instruments. I was always writing short stories and poetry, drawing and colouring. My first item won first prize at the Cairns & District Show when I was 8 years of age. I began drawing seriously when I was 13 years old. The Art Master at high school offered to prepare my attendance at art college in Rockhampton, Queensland. I did not know much about ancient art associated with my heritage due to the ethnic cleansing of Aboriginal people. There are a lot of negativity in today's world. I like to balance my space with art, colour and positive thinking people. |
